In addition, weight loss and controlled exercise are important components of the 
management plan.  As stated under learning issues, Bonnie is receiving too many calories 
for her ideal size.  This predisposes her to injuring her contralateral CCL.  Controlled 
exercise consisting of leash walks and swimming must be strictly followed.

For pain management, opioids can be used while in the hospital.  She will be sent home 
with NDAIDŐs to control pain and inflammation.
