Client Instructions TitanŐs recovery is highly dependent on post-operative care, so we ask that you follow these instructions very carefully and if you find that this is going to be a problem, please contact us for assistance. Titan will go home after spending one night with us so that we can monitor his progress and recovery from surgery. He will have an incision with sutures, covered by a soft padded bandage. The bandage will help to decrease his comfort and discourage him from using the leg too soon. Please restrict TitanŐs activity to leash walks only for two to three months. Additionally, he should be confined to a kennel anytime he is not on a leash. In two weeks we will remove the bandage an sutures and evaluate the healing process. Titan should begin using the leg at this time and we will instruct you in some physical therapy techniques. Titan will likely develop some degree of arthritis, although it should not result in lameness. Please contact us immediately if you any questions or concerns.
