Autoimmune Disorder
Immune-mediated inflammatory disease of joints that results in erosion of articular 
cartilage.  This involves a type III hypersensitivity reaction; immune complexes may be 
deposited the synovial membrane.  This results in an inflammatory response and 
complement activation.
