This calf was suffering from diarrhoea. It was collapsed and severely dehydrated. It was admitted to our treatment facility.A catheter was placed into the jugular vein and it was put on a saline drip which initially contained glucose. The calf was also treated with antibiotics and anti-endotoxic drugs. The response to treatment was good and within 24 hours was very much better and able to stand.
